Aparna Group continues to pursue its strategy of focusing on internal growth in high-potential markets with the inauguration of the VITERO TILE FACTORY, in Peddapuram, near the port city of Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.
The VITERO Tile Factory is being commissioned today by Shri Nara Lokesh, Cabinet Minister for Information Technology and Panchayati Raj in Andhra Pradesh, amidst a distinguished gathering of leading politicians, senior members of the State Administration and top management of Aparna Group companies. Speaking on the occasion Mr. Ashwin Reddy, MD of Aparna Enterprises, said, “The demand for higher quality of life is ever-rising. I know very well that providing Indian builders with world-class building material products is a priority in the agenda of Aparna Group. With its reputation for coming up with innovative solutions, I am sure that this advanced Tile Factory will be able to meet and contribute to fulfill the demand for high quality vitrified tiles.”
The VITERO Tile Factory is a significant milestone for Aparna Group, as it will help provide an expanding footprint to serve its customers in South India and across the country as well.
Commenting on the plant, Ms. S Aparna Reddy, Director of Aparna Enterprises, said, “The 9, 75, 000 Sft VITERO Tile Factory is the first tile production facility of its kind in South India. It boasts of the largest gas-fired kiln (265 mtrs long), and has a capacity of producing 15,000 sq. meters per day (5.47 million sq. meters per annum). The fact that Aparna Group has invested in excess of Rs 320 crores in the plant, makes one thing clear: The Group is totally convinced in the ease of doing business in AP and that VITERO Tiles will be a marketing success.”
VITERO Tile Factory is one of the most advanced and competitive in the region and will rapidly create value for the Group, its customers and the State. The new plant brings to India, the very latest in tile production and Nano-polishing technology and meets the Group’s most stringent international standards for quality. The innovative nature, which has always been a feature of the Aparna Group, also entails reducing the environmental impact of the vitrified tiles made at the VITERO Tile Factory, while keeping faith with the brand values and its character as a super special tile.
Aparna Enterprises Limited, a part of the Group, is already the largest tile distributor of South India, which will now produce and supply double charged vitrified tiles to the market. VITERO is all set to meet strong demand for vitrified tiles in the Indian market. The demand for world-class vitrified tiles has been growing steadily for some years, driven by double-digit annual growth in the construction industry.
VITERO brand stands to benefit from a faster shift to the organized sector with the Goods and Services Tax (GST); ready availability of world-class vitrified tiles; government focus on housing; and increasing in dealer network to expand reach. All of which are likely to favor VITERO’s entry into the market.
The Group is in an expansion mode and plans additional investments of Rs1500 crores to set up new tile factories in Rayalaseema and other regions. The Indian vitrified tile market is expected to see a compounded annual growth rate of 25% between 2017-2022.
